Far‐ and Near‐Field Heat Transfer in Transdimensional Plasmonic Film Systems

چکیده
We compare the confinement-induced nonlocal electromagnetic response model to standard local Drude routinely used in plasmonics. Both of them are applied study heat transfer for transdimensional plasmonic film systems. The former provides greater Woltersdorff length far-field and larger thicknesses at which is dominated by surface plasmons, leading enhanced near-field currents. Our results show that capable making a significant impact on understanding radiative ultrathin films.

Improving Heat Transfer in Falling Film Evaporators in Food Industries
Falling film evaporators, due to their high heat transfer coefficients, low energy loss, rather a low holdup time, and the ability to handle high capacities have broad applications in food industries. Thus, this kind of evaporator is being used in the production of temperature sensitive compounds such as syrups. In this study, through modelling of the falling film evaporator with the use of...
متن کاملPlasmonic nearfield scanning probe with high transmission.
Nearfield scanning optical microscopy (NSOM) offers a practical means of optical imaging, optical sensing, and nanolithography at a resolution below the diffraction limit of the light. However, its applications are limited due to the strong attenuation of the light transmitted through the subwavelength aperture. To solve this problem, we report the development of plasmonic nearfield scanning op...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation in Pool Boiling Heat Transfer of Pure/Binary Mixtures and Heat Transfer Correlations
Nucleate pool boiling heat transfer coefficient have been experimentally measured on a horizontal rod heater for various liquid binary mixtures. Measurements are based on more than three hundred data points on a wide range of concentrations and heat fluxes. In this investigation, it has been confirmed that the heat transfer coefficient in boiling solutions are regularly less than those in p...
متن کاملImproved turbulence modeling of film cooling flow and heat transfer
Film-cooling flows are characterized by a row of jets injected at an angle from the blade surface or endwalls into the heated crossflow. The resulting flowfield is quite complex, and accurate predictions of the flow and heat transfer have been difficult to obtain using traditional two-equation turbulence models employed with ReynoldsAveraged Navier–Stokes (RANS) solvers. Recently, a four-equati...
